Storytime: How It All Began
Once upon a time — which in space is all the time — five monkeys lived on a little blue-green world where the bananas grew tall and the nights glittered like spilled sugar. Every evening, Captain Miro would look up and wonder what the stars tasted like.
"Probably lemony," said Zuzu, who had done the math.
So Boops built a rocket out of brave ideas and spare parts, Nova learned to fly it in exactly one afternoon, and Pip — tiny Pip — named it Mister Zoomy, which everyone agreed was perfect.
On the night of the biggest full moon anyone could remember, the Monkeynauts counted down from five (one number each), held their breath, and whooooosh! — became the very first Monkeys From Space.
They've been up there ever since, waving down at us. If you look carefully on a clear night, you might just see them wave. Go on — wave back. It's polite.
